Flight disruption / volcanic ash

Please be advised that extensive flight disruption is expected today as a result of the closure of Scottish airspace for flight safety reasons. The cloud of ash from the volcanic eruption in Iceland is anticipated to affect air traffic control routes within Scotland and therefore airspace closures have been implemented as a result. This will affect all carriers' services using these routes equally.

At this time, we do not expect to operate any services until early afternoon.   This situation could well change and that cancellation period may be extended depending on updates continually being received from Scottish air traffic control.

For passengers booked on this morning's services, our disruption policy will be implemented which allows customers to:

1/ Rebook on any flight on which seats are available within the next two weeks without any change fee or difference in fare being payable;
2/ Rebook for travel on any flight beyond the next two weeks without any change fee being payable provided that seats are available on the alternative flight at the original fare; 3/ Obtain a refund for their journey if they decide not to travel in future.

Clearly we can only adjust our operating plans based on the latest advice available from Scottish ATC.    Our teams will continue to review the situation during the day and our customer service staff will do everything that we can to assist customers with their alternative travel plans.

Kind regards
Loganair
